Single Specimen of Serpentine

Single specimen of Serpentine. Remember all our prices include VAT & carriage within the UK.

Serpentine is a type of metamorphic rock that is primarily composed of serpentine minerals, such as antigorite and lizardite, along with minor amounts of other minerals like magnetite and chromite. It has a greenish colour and a waxy or greasy texture.

It forms as a result of the metamorphism of ultramafic rocks, such as peridotite. It is commonly found in regions with high geological activity, such as mountain ranges or regions with active tectonic activity.

Serpentine has a variety of uses, including as a decorative stone, in the production of certain types of ceramics, and as a source of certain minerals such as magnesium.
