Dolomite is a type of carbonate mineral that is primarily composed of calcium magnesium carbonate, along with minor amounts of other elements such as iron and manganese. It has a pale gray to pink colour and often forms as rhombohedral crystals or cleavage fragments.

It is a common mineral that is found in many types of rocks, and is commonly found in rocks such as limestone and dolostone.

Dolomite is commonly used as a decorative stone and in the production of certain types of cement and fertilizer.
