Dufton & Cross Fell (14th Jun)

The Cross Fell inlier is an area of Lower Palaeozoic rocks that occur in between some of the major Pennine faults. Amongst the varied rocks are limestones and rhyolite. On this day we'll take a look at some of them and also walk up from Dufton towards High Cop Nick to see the remains of some of the local mineral mining.

Meeting at Dufton car park at 10.30am
